Avatar: Seven Havens will broaden its structure in future seasons, moving beyond the approach used in its first book, which centered on Ellora. In an interview with TV Insider, co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino said the series will mix its focus between Havens and will not extend to seven books.
DiMartino also told IGN that the story will visit all Seven Havens by the end of the series. The next Haven visited by Pavi will be the Floating Isles, although the planned four-season structure means the remaining Havens will not necessarily each receive an individual season as their main setting.
Executive producer Sehaj Sethi explained that the production spent significant time establishing Ellora because it is home to the girls and to Jae. For subsequent books, the team wants to introduce more of the travel-oriented feeling associated with Avatar: The Last Airbender, giving the series a stronger journey-based structure.
The creators have not yet explained how the other Havens will be introduced. DiMartino has said that each one has its own culture and style, but the series may not spend the same amount of time in every location.
Production on Book 2 has already been completed, while work has begun on Books 3 and 4. The second season will also begin after a time jump of only a few weeks, allowing the story to continue relatively soon after the events of the first season.
